Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

We may collect the following information:

• Account information, such as your email address, username and profile details.
• Chamber information, including Chamber names, descriptions, settings, membership details and the identity of the person who created the Chamber.
• Audiopod information, including audio recordings or uploaded files, titles, descriptions, tags, duration and publication status.
• Content you contribute, such as comments or other material you choose to post, where those features are available.
• Technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device information and diagnostic data.
• Usage information, such as Audiopod plays and other activity needed to operate, maintain and improve Niuspat.
• Messages and feedback you send to us, including support requests and reports of inappropriate or illegal content.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

2. How we use your information

We use information to:

• Create and manage accounts.
• Create and operate Chambers and Audiopods.
• Display the content you choose to share.
• Provide links that allow people to access Chambers and Audiopods.
• Record relevant activity, such as plays, and improve the service.
• Diagnose technical problems and maintain security.
• Detect and respond to abuse, spam, fraud and reports of harmful or illegal content.
• Respond to feedback and support requests.
• Meet legal obligations where required.

We aim to collect and use information only where it is reasonably necessary for these purposes.

3. Chambers, Audiopods and sharing links

A Chamber is a space organised around a subject, interest, group or conversation. An Audiopod is an individual piece of audio that belongs to a Chamber.

At launch, Chambers and Audiopods are shared through direct links rather than being publicly discoverable through a general public directory.

Unlisted does not mean private.

An Unlisted Chamber or Audiopod is accessible to people who have its link. Unless additional access controls are specifically provided, a link does not verify the identity of the person opening it or restrict that person to the individual with whom you originally shared it.

When you share a link, you are responsible for considering who might receive it and what they might do with it. Anyone you send a link to may forward, copy or otherwise distribute it to other people. Those people may pass it on again.

Once a link has been shared, you cannot reliably control who receives it, who opens it or how widely it is distributed. Niuspat cannot guarantee that a link will remain within your intended group.

For this reason:

• Share Chamber and Audiopod links only with people you are comfortable allowing to access the content.
• Do not assume that an Unlisted Chamber is confidential or that its link will remain within a particular group.
• Avoid including sensitive or confidential information in audio or descriptions unless you understand the risks of sharing it through a link.
• If you no longer want people to access content, use any available editing, deletion or access-management options. However, you cannot guarantee that copies, recordings or information already obtained by others will be removed.

The person who creates or shares a Chamber or Audiopod is responsible for choosing the intended audience and exercising care when distributing its link.

4. Draft, Unlisted and Public content

The visibility of content depends on its publication status and the features available on Niuspat.

• Draft: Intended to remain accessible only to you.
• Unlisted: Accessible to people who have the direct link. The link may be shared with others without your knowledge or permission.
• Public: If and when Public publishing is available, content marked Public may be accessible to everyone and may be discoverable through public areas of Niuspat.

A Chamber's visibility and an individual Audiopod's visibility may affect how people access them. Please check the status shown when managing your content.

Even where content is later deleted or its visibility changes, someone who previously accessed it may have retained a copy, recording or other information derived from it.

5. Your control over your information

Subject to the features available and applicable legal requirements, you can:

• Edit or delete your Audiopods.
• Edit your Chamber details and settings.
• Edit your profile information.
• Manage your content

Content review and temporary restrictions

Niuspat reserves the right to temporarily restrict access to, hide or disable any Chamber, Audiopod, account or other content while we investigate reports, suspected violations of our Community Guidelines or other applicable policies, or potential legal or safety concerns. We may take these measures where we consider them reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with our obligations or maintain the integrity of the service. Where appropriate, we may take further action following the investigation, including restoring access, removing content or restricting an account.
